A #WRITING CONFERENCE YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS! #RRBC

Watch Nonnie Write!

Authors, how much time do you spend trying to market your books while scouring the web for any and all information you can find on writing?  Well, if you’re like many of the authors I know,  you spend more time than you’d like anyone to know about.

This is not an easy business we’re in, but, it is one that our souls call us to be apart of.  Yes, for those of us who are born with the gift of the talent of writing, and for those of us who spend the time trying to hone our skills in the craft, we HAVE to do this…our spirit will not allow us to rest unless we are writing.  I penned the quote below to describe my own urgency to write:

“How I know I’m a writer:  When I sleep, I wake to write;  when I dream, I rouse to write;  when…

“SPOTLIGHT HONORS” with Maureen Twomey

Hey! That’s me!  😉

“If you need some inspiration today – my high school and UCLA (and fellow Sproul Hall front desker!) friend Maureen E. Twomey gave a great interview this morning about her post-stoke experience, which she documented in her own book. She never lost her sense of humor during the whole ordeal, which is saying something!” – Tanya Appuhn Crates

“She rambles a bit, but listen two her anyway.” – Maureen Twomey

“Wow. I can appreciate the fact that this book was not as easy as turning spell checker on. The amazing story, the endless support of friends and family and the continuous conquest of innumerable obstacles (permanent? Ha!) all made for an interesting, thought provoking, and impactful read. Veeeeery interesting! I would even recommend this to my kids …”

“Courageous, honest, raw, powerful”

Before, Afdre, and After (My stroke … oh what fun)

“Courageous, honest, raw, powerful”
By Monica, September 21, 2016  (in Kindle)

“Courageously written, and shockingly honest and raw, the reader gets to experience through the author’s words what it’s like to have a stroke and go through the long process of recovery. Touching, powerful, and real, this story is very moving and filled with insights and tender moments. The author also includes many links and helpful information for anyone who needs similar support and further information.

I just wish that some of the images of reports, writings, and various samples, were a bit bigger – they were too small for me to read. But that did not take away from the story, which was very powerful and made a big impact. I thank the author for sharing this story.”

🙂

P.S.: Sorry! — In Kindle the images of reports, writings, and various samples, are smaller. Until Kindle maybe makes the image etc. bigger, here’s two pics of Kindle vs. Print:

“I can’t imagine what it must be like to have a massive stroke at any age but especially not in your 30’s when your career is taking off. Not only did the author survive but she wrote a supremely entertaining account of her recovery.

It was a fantastic read. Hilarious. Tear-inducing. Heart-warming. Inspiring. Maureen’s supportive family and friends are the kind you hope to have around if something like this happens. She is a gifted writer. I look forward to the next book!”
